From June to September, Laval's parks are sparkling with lots of free activities, including a number of neighbourhood festivities. Be active and get out and play this summer!

Discover Culture
When the sun goes down, movie lovers will get together with blankets or folding chairs to watch some 20 movies to be presented outdoors in July and August.

The neighbourhood will become the stage for a program of cultural activities designed to appeal to the whole family. On Wednesday and Saturday evenings as well as Sundays in a brunch format, the play Le camping à Jojo : western macaroni! will be presented at 15 Laval parks. A street circus and outdoor dancing will add colour and excitement to the districts, while four public pianos will liven up public spaces. For children up to 5 years old, the Scribouillis puppet show will be held on Saturday mornings.

July 13 to August 11, at the Centre de la nature in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, enjoy a theatre outing! Discover the new open-air play, Contre vents et marées. Take a detour via the musical staircase, set up for the summer season.

Four Large Parks, A Variety of Activities
Looking for a larger-than-life setting for your sports and recreational activities? Consider one of our four large parks to escape: Parc Des Prairies, Berge des Baigneurs, Centre de la nature or Berge des Quatre vents. Do you like yoga, zumba, Latin dancing? Or maybe you prefer rallies or horticultural workshops? Check out to choose your activity in a large park near you.

Summertime is Reading Time!
Laval's libraries offer free literary mediation activities in the parks. Under the reading tent, children will be told stories and can borrow books. In the game tent, they will enjoy board games with the help of activity leaders. At their local swimming pool, they will have the chance to listen to stories in their bathing suits. Stock up on books at the Bibliomobile during district festivities or at the open-air movies.

Stay Active and Play
Increase the opportunities to be active with introductions to sports and recreational activities as well as public practice offered in the parks and at sports facilities (basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, fitness facilities, foot paths and sports grounds at the Bleu Blanc Bouge skating rink, etc.).

Game Chests
Families will find sand toys, Frisbees and outdoor accessories here. Available free of charge in some 15 parks, these games are shared possessions. Everyone must take care of them and put the materials back in the game chest once they are finished with them, so that everyone can enjoy them. Take, play and put back!
